What shipped in early September
A graph view for your docs, shared editing in pages and canvases, comments that read markdown, and seven fixes from our own review.
The first twelve days of September were about seeing how your work connects — and working on it together.
Here’s what’s new in Clusker.
Docs graph view
The docs index has a third view. Next to Rows and Covers there’s now Links: every page as a node on a canvas, with the lines between them drawn for you.
A graph of page-to-page links alone would have been mostly empty. When we checked our own workspace, 32 pages had exactly zero links to one another. So connections come in four kinds, each with its own toggle:
- Place — the project, folder or parent page a page lives in.
- Tags — pages that share a tag.
- Mentions —
@links inside a page. - Tasks — tasks linked to a page. Off by default, so the graph stays about documents.
Pages that connect to nothing don’t drift around the edges. They’re counted in the footer and stacked in a column on the right — the one answer neither rows nor covers can give you.
Tag filters and search work as in the other views. Zooming grows the graph itself, not just the distances: nodes get bigger and page names fade in as you get closer, while teams, projects, folders and tags are always labeled. The graph can go full-window, and it works both inside a team and across all your teams.
Real-time collaboration in pages and canvases
Pages and canvases can now be edited by more than one person at a time.
- The faces of everyone on a page show up in its header.
- In text, you see a teammate’s words appear as they type, and their cursor in their own color, with their name.
- On a canvas, you see their pointer and selection, and a card they drag moves while they’re dragging — not only when they let go.
- Undo is yours: ⌘ Z takes back your own changes, never someone else’s.
Pages are still plain markdown files. While a page is open for shared editing, the live session is the original and the file gets regular snapshots. If someone edits the file outside Clusker in the meantime, the page turns read-only and everyone sees the same choice. Nothing gets merged behind your back. More on how files and shared editing fit together.
Guest share links still show a read-only snapshot, a few seconds behind. It’s new, so if two of you on one page see something odd, tell us.
Comments understand markdown
Paste markdown into a task comment and it reads the way it was written: headings, lists, bold, links and code — with headings sized for a comment, not a full page. Comments use the same markdown parser as documents, so a list looks the same in both places.
Storage didn’t change: comments are saved exactly as typed, so older comments now show up formatted too. The comment box grows as you paste, up to about twelve lines, then scrolls. Images in comments aren’t loaded — they show as text — so a comment can’t quietly call out to someone else’s server. On your phone, comments read the same way.
Review round 7: seven fixes
We run Clusker in Clusker. Every so often the whole product gets a pass with screenshots, and each finding becomes a fix. This round:
- The project picker draws a divider between teams, so long lists no longer blur together.
- You can create a project right from the task window. The task you were writing stays exactly as you left it.
- Scrollbars fade once you stop scrolling — even on a Mac with a mouse, where the system keeps them on — and stay while your pointer is over them.
- Task comments render markdown — more on that above.
- Closing a task no longer leaves its row highlighted. The highlight is back to its real job: showing where you landed from a link, search or reminder.
- Long record titles in a database wrap onto the next line, just like page titles.
- The keyboard focus ring follows the element’s shape, so round checkboxes stay round.
Improvements & fixes
- Teams replace the account switcher: all your teams sit in one sidebar, and Tasks, Projects and Docs can show every team at once.
- Move a task or a whole project to another team. Before anything moves, Clusker shows you what won’t come along.
- An open task has its own address, so the link in your browser bar opens that exact task.
- The ⌘ K palette opens with your recent items and a map of sections.
- Upcoming has a calendar with an hour grid: tasks can have a duration, with a Plan panel alongside.
- The Summary panel now works on All tasks and covers the whole team, not just one project.
- On your phone, pages are edited by simply typing, in the same editor as on desktop.
- Select a whole page with ⌘ A and copy it — it lands on your clipboard as markdown.
- Task titles take formatting: select a few words and a small toolbar appears above them.
- Inviting someone is one step: you get a link right away, and they fill in their own details.
- Connecting an AI app over MCP uses a proper sign-in with a consent screen, and apps can be revoked.
- Sections load with a skeleton of their layout instead of a “Loading…” line.
